Improve Cadence... ? clipless pedal

its been raining since this afternoon.. ive been waiting to ride my MTB..
huuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh.....
i even went to PCP.. hope the rain will stop.. but not my luck.. cannot fight nature...

im eager to ride.. not because im fat... haha.. because i ve a new stuff on my bike.. new for me.. lots of you guys have been wearing it since ages.. since i ve no money to buy it, have to wait until now. hahaha

bought at din cycle klang... i tried it infront of the shop.. and suddenly, ive fell down like nangka buruk... forget to unclip it... then, ride within klang town... about 30 minutes... obviously, i can feel the different between the clip and flat pedal... but need to practice more...

lots of choices for the clipless pedal... xpedo, shimano, and etc. ive survey at KL and other shops.. but i think the most affordable one is shimano XT compare to others.

and the shoe,..even at KL,the stock of MTB shoe, is limited... can find SIDI, northwave, specialized, time.. but very limited stock, style, size and price... if you are willing to send your money, you can try SIDI.. but its not for me.. to expensive and i dont need the "carbon thing" for a shoe.

how to improve pedalling???

without the clipless pedal,we only push the pedal in Phase A and B... but with the clipless pedal, we push the pedal in phase A and b... once the pedal reached the bottom of its travel, we slightly lift up the pedal, for the phase C and D... hence theere is a significant amount of power transfer and improve pedalling EFFECIENCY

quote from bikeradar:

Good pedallers have been shown to also pull backwards and very slightly upwards at the back-half of the pedal stroke. From this, two essentials to pedalling become apparent. Firstly, you really need clipless pedals to get effective back and upward pulling (especially uphill out of the saddle), and secondly and most importantly you need to be sitting in the right place to pedal “like a pro”.
